Constituida por Hidroeléctrica Española (actualmente IBERDOLA), junto con la Orden Militar de Alcántara, Diputación Provincial de Cáceres, Ayuntamiento de Alcántara y la Cámara Oficial de Comercio e Industria de Cáceres. Encontrada en el Convento de San Benito, sus funciones son el estudio y la investigación histórica y cultural, con especial referencia a la promoción turística de Extremadura y al examen de su desarrollo empresarial, destacando el valor de la empresa como figura social interviniente en el desarrollo cultural, económico y social, y todo ello con una clara vocación iberoamericana.
